The Singleton is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky borne from three distilleries in the Scottish Highlands: Glen Ord, Dufftown and Glendullan.
The passionate distillery teams go to extraordinary lengths to distil each drop of The Singleton. Using a long fermentation process and signature slow batch distillation, they gently hone and nurture their spirit until it’s the pinnacle of what it should be.
Malt Master Craig Wilson then slowly matures the spirit in a combination of European and American oak casks, producing layer upon layer of perfectly balanced flavour.
The result? A rich, vibrant and perfectly balanced Single Malt that’s effortlessly enjoyable from the first sip, designed to savour the single moment.

EFFORTLESSLY ENJOYED
The Singleton whiskies are generally described as smooth and fruity, as a result of the casks used and the very slow and gentle distillation process. It’s matured in a high proportion of American oak casks with a small portion of European oak casks to balance the liquid. This combination of casks gives The Singleton a perfectly balanced, smooth profile.
The Singleton focuses on taste, not complexity, and its makers take time and care every step of the way, even before the ageing process begins. Their goal is to create simply delicious, rich and smooth Single Malts, to be savoured from the very first sip.
The Singleton Facts
- The Singleton is a Single Malt Whisky borne from three distilleries in the Scottish Highlands, each following the same long fermentation and slow batch distillation process.
- Since 2007, The Singleton of Dufftown whiskies have won over 95 whisky awards, including Double Gold at the S.F. Spirits World Competition 2020.
- Glendullan has long been a pioneer of the whisky world and was one of the first distilleries to embrace technology and get a computer (very fancy back then!)
- The Glendullan Distillery once had a private railway to transport its casks to market. Amongst its destinations was the court of King Edward VII.
- The Singleton distilleries are among the most sustainable in Scotland. From a bio-energy plant to cut CO2 emissions, to a revolutionary steam recycling system that uses heat from the stills to power the maltings – everything has been thought of. Dufftown in particular is Diageo’s most sustainable distillery.
