The Hibiscus Morita 

If you like to add spice to your life and to your cocktails, then you absolutely have to try a Hibiscus Morita. This is one of my favorite spicy yet sour cocktails made from Don Julio Blanco, Hibiscus, Morita chili, lime juice and agave syrup. Delicious!

The Hibiscus Morita 

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz

    Don Julio Blanco

  • 0.5 oz

    Lime juice

  • 0.5 oz

    natural syrup

  • 0.5 oz

    agave syrup

  • 2 oz

    Hibiscus Morita reduction*

0 units of alcohol per serve

Method

  • Method
    1. Add all of the ingredients to a shaker
    2. Shake with passion
    3. Prepare the rim of the glass with chili powder and salt
    4. Strain into the glass over ice

    *Hibiscus Morita reduction method:

    1. Boil the hibiscus in water to produce the syrup
    2. Separately boil 2 pieces of Morita in 7 oz water
    3. Blend and then strain the liquid
    4. Then blend one part hibiscus syrup, one part sugar and 0.5 oz Morita juice until smooth
