    Boiling Water

    Teaspoon Sugar

    Lemon Twist (Garnish)

Method

  • Preparation
    1. Measure Whisky in a Jigger and pour into one Mug, and water into the other with the sugar.
    2. Ignite the Whisky and mix the two Mugs by rolling back and forth 5-6 times.
    3. Pour into a Heatproof Mug.
    4. Garnish with a Lemon Twist.

The Blue Blazer is one of the few cocktails that is actually meant to be set on fire. When done correctly, the flames from the drink should be about two feet high.

The Blue Blazer is a traditional cocktail that has been around since the early 1800s. One of the first American bartenders, Jerry Thomas, is credited with creating it.
