Interesting facts
The Brooklyn Cocktail is named after the New York borough and was created as a variation of the popular Manhattan and Bronx cocktails, which were already established and popular in the neighbouring boroughs.
History of the drink
The Brooklyn cocktail was created in the eponymous New York City borough in the early 20th Century. It was originally made with rye whiskey, vermouth, and maraschino liqueur, and was later popularized with the addition of Amer Picon, a bittersweet French aperitif.
