Interesting Facts
Sangria is a very versatile drink and can be made with any type of red wine, white wine or even Champagne. It's often made with fruit juices or soda instead of wine.
History of the Drink
Sangria is a Spanish wine punch that has been around for centuries. The exact origins of the drink are unknown, but it's thought to have originated in the region of Andalusia in southern Spain. The name 'Sangria' comes from the Spanish word for "blood" (sangre), due to the drink's red color. Sangria was traditionally made with red wine, fruit and a sweetener such as sugar or honey. In recent years, Sangria has become popular all over the world and is now made with all sorts of different wines, fruits and spirits.
