Interesting facts
A Cape Codder serves as the foundation of the drink known as the Bay Breeze, which also contains pineapple juice. Other names for the beverage include Downeaster, and Hawaiian Sea Breeze.
History of the drink
Ocean Spray and the Cranberry Growers Association undertook a marketing campaign that helped create the Bay Breeze. In the late 1940's they were seeking a means to increase cranberry juice sales and resorted to cocktails to do so. Thus, the "Breeze" cocktail family came into being.
